Drupal started to be among my hobbies and interests. And entirely, it still is my hobby, instead of for-the-money task. However, realizing myself in the mid of a constantly evolving, sensible and dedicated (due to similar hobbies and interests) community, it became apparent that I have to work on Drupal in my time ahead and make it a certified to rock CMS.
And I'm excited to be there! And go about handling tasks requiring running from end to end of the venue, coordinating duties, shuffling things around, etc.. Which I must say, is an obligation for a hobbyist Drupal developer. :)
