Drupal 7 is just around the corner. Seven, the new admin theme for Drupal 7, is a departure from previous Drupal themes. Designed as a result of the D7UX work undertaken by Leisa Reichelt and Mark Boulton Design, the theme only goes part way to create a great admin experience.

Contributed modules, and how they build upon, change and interact Seven is what will make it a truly great admin experience. Seven is only as good as Contrib makes it.

Drupal’s taxonomy system helps you to organize content on your website. This robust categorization system is one thing that sets Drupal apart from other CMSs and in combination with taxonomy-enhancing modules the system gets even more powerful.
During the development cycle for Drupal 7, the system received a big overhaul. Besides important API improvements, taxonomy term fields have been introduced. These fields open up many new possibilities and change the way of using the taxonomy system.

VIDI is a suite of powerful intuitive Drupal data-visualization modules for anyone to use on any standard set of data.

The modules are based on well known Google Maps API and Google Visualization API and are written as styles for the Views module. The generated map visualizations and charts can be used to create static files that in turn can be embedded in other (even non-drupal) sites. All of these features make this suite of modules a significant addition to the Drupal family.

Come see the beta of a brand new product from Microsoft that covers the entire workflow, from pulling down the latest build of Drupal for Windows all the way to deploying it to a hosted environment, all in one place.

This is NOT about making apps, but about adapting themes, templates, views and other odds and ends to make your site look nice – or at least be useful – on the small screen and potentially limited facilities.
This is not rocket science, but there are some pitfalls and some areas which require more work – and some where it's close to impossible to adapt look and function to the small screen – but in general it's easy to customize news, articles, discussions and much more to fit the limited screens on mobile devices.

In this session we will explore Drupal 7 entities, bundles and fields from a coders perspective. This will be a technical overview of the changes that have been introduced to content types in Drupal 7 and will walk through the creation of a basic content type including widgets, fields and formatters.
