since 2008 working at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs - yes, there IS an Office for Outer Space Affairs! at UN-SPIDER, yep, another nice acronym you never would imagine what's behind, so I'm telling you: United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response, ...and since noone could remember or rather vocalise UN-PfSbIfDMaER, and UN-SPIDER did sound a lot cooler, we're all Spidermen since then. We fight the bad (earthquakes, volcano eruptions, fires, floods and other natural disasters) with space-power (radar and optical satellites, remote sensing, etc.)... AND we even know Batman!
